Welcome to my links page.
Welcome to my links page.  These links are not in any particular order but are numbered for easy reference.  The links are to  notable web sites that have inspired me, influenced me or educated me in some way.  I hope they do the same for you.  Ultimately the best tool to make you a better artist or photographer is to turn off the computer and practice your craft.  But we all need to take a break and get our batteries re-charged, learn something new or just see what is going on in the world.

If you find a web site or photographer that excites you, inspires you or moves in in some way please share it with me.  If it does the same for me I will add it to my links page.

#1 - 4x6.my-expressions.com - I have to start out with this link since it is my good friend Mark Hamilton's web site.  He has had most likely the most influence on me and my photography.  I found him back when I was getting rejuvenated into photography after a long break of about 20 years.  His work inspired me to get back into photography as an art form.  He continues to inspire me today with his creative photography and wonderful stories.

#2 - http://1x.com -  Though I recently just found this site I have spent hours amazed by the creative works of photographers all over the world.  It is free to join but if you submit works to the site they have to be judged by a jury of 9 to see if the image is worthy of being posted on the site.  There is also a wonderful critique area were images are openly judged and commented on by the jury of 9 and the photographic community.

#3 - http://www.flickr.com -  This is most likely the worlds larges photo site.  The is just about any type of photography style or category you can imagine.  Both beginner and professional photographers use this site to share there creations.

#4 - http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikehensley/ - This is my good friend Mike Hensley that is one of the most curious photographers I have ever meet.  He seems to be constantly finding new ways of taking photography to the outer bounds and into new worlds.  He has an great sharing personality and gets real joy out of helping someone pick up a technique he has researched and learned.  That along with his creative eye and you can not help but love his photography.

#5 - http://kelbytv.com/photoshopusertv/ -   If you want to learn new techniques in Adobe Photoshop this is the site you need to visit.  If you have an iPhone, iTouch or better yet an iPad you need to join there PodCast.  This stiff would be a value at hundreds of dollars but it is free.  Let me say that again FREE.  If you are not visiting this site and you use Adobe Photoshop then you are doing yourself an injustice.

#6 - http://www.kelbytraining.com/ - This is the premere site for learning everything about photography.  Scott Kelby teams up with the top photo shooters and photo editors in the industry to bring you hundreds of hours of on line video training.  This is not free but is well worth the invetstment.  The cost is $199.00 a year or $19.00 a month if you are a NAPP member.  You would spend far more than this to attend one session with Joe McNalley but her you can put him on pause and get a cup of coffee.  If you are serious about photography then you are most likly already signed up on this site.
